Scary news has emerged from the NFL world, and it surrounds New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks corner Quinton Dunbar. News broke that the two were involved in a robbery and assault at a party in the Miami area.
More details have come out Thursday and the police report indicates the two may have planned a robbery all along.
According to the Miramar police report below on #Giants DB Deandre Baker, this is premeditated armed robbery! Scary, troubling. Jaw-dropping. pic.twitter.com/xZYPJpSByR— Courtney Fallon (@CourtneyFallon_) May 14, 2020
This is insane news and it is crazy to think both players would commit such an act. Baker even went a step further and allegedly told a third man involved to shoot one of the victims.
The gunman thankfully did not pull the trigger.
The warrant said Baker, Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar and an unidentified third man wearing a red mask committed the crimes.
Perhaps most damning: Witnesses say Baker instructed the man in the red mask to shoot several of the victims. Apparently, and thankfully, he did not.— Ralph Vacchiano (@RVacchianoSNY) May 14, 2020
The two reportedly lost a stunning amount of money at a party just days earlier as well.
Also in the police report: According to one witness, Dunbar and Baker had lost “about” $70,000 at a party a few days earlier. https://t.co/q8NjvhsVCg— NFL Update (@MySportsUpdate) May 15, 2020
Baker was a first-round pick by the Giants last season and Dunbar has been in the league since 2015, but was a key trade acquisition by the Seattle Seahawks this offseason.
An arrest warrant has now been issued for both men and the details of the police report are rather damning. The story is developing.
